As people's living standards rise, more and more people have fallen in love with growing flowers, and along with that, more and more little flower-growing tricks have appeared online. Vegetable leaves, banana peels, apple peels, bones... all of them can be used to grow flowers, but these things all need to be fermented first before they can be used for growing flowers. However, many flower lovers live in apartment buildings, so fermented flower fertilizer is not really suitable for them. That is why none of them can compare with this little thing I am sharing today. Soak it and pour it into the pot, and any flower will grow like crazy!

So what exactly is this thing?

It is actually willow branches. Why is that?

I believe flower lovers have all heard the saying: "Plant a flower with care and it will not bloom; stick a willow in the ground without care and it will flourish." This shows that the willow has an especially strong ability to grow on its own. Scientific testing has found that willow branches contain a large amount of salicylic acid, and salicylic acid is a growth agent that can promote rooting and sprouting in plants and also prevent root rot. It is a plant growth hormone, and it can be said that any flower can use it. Below, let's talk about how to use it:

When flower lovers are out for a walk in the park, they can break off a few willow branches, preferably ones grown in the current year. Once home, remove the leaves, cut them into sections, and then soak them in clean water (purified water or boiled water is recommended). After soaking for about 16 hours, the water can be taken out to water the flowers. You can dilute it with a bit more clean water, and a 1:1 ratio is best. Flower lovers are advised to use it once every 7-10 days. After sticking with it for a while, you will see your flowers and plants growing like crazy, and they will bloom more too.

This is a little trick in the process of growing flowers, so did you know about it?

If you want to grow flowers well, watering is truly key, because many flower lovers have left comments saying that their flowers died from improper watering, and among them, money trees, crab claw orchids, gardenias... are the majority. Today Xiao Hua is sharing the watering methods for these few flowers, and later I will also share some for other flowers. I hope you like it!

1. How do you water a money tree?

The money tree has a strong adaptability to water. Generally, whether it is watered heavily outdoors or not watered for more than ten days indoors, it is fine.

But if the amount of water is too little, the branches and leaves are prone to stunted growth; if the amount of water is too much, the roots may rot and the plant may die; if the amount of water is moderate, the branches and leaves will be thick and full.

So the first principle for watering a money tree is to prefer wet over dry. In the hot summer season, water more; in winter, water less. During the vigorous growth period, water more; for small or newly planted ones, water less. Under normal conditions, watering once every 15 to 20 days is enough.

2. How do you water a crab claw orchid?

Crab claw orchids very easily suffer root rot from too much watering or poor drainage, so they must not be watered too much, and there must be no standing water in the pot. In cooler seasons, water once every 4-5 days, but after September reduce watering. During hot periods, water once every 2-3 days.

When it is hot and dry, misting the leaves to increase humidity is also quite good; during the wintering period, watering once a week is enough.

3. How do you water a gardenia?

Gardenias like moisture. During the growing period, the potting soil should be kept moist, and attention should be paid to increasing the air humidity. Each watering should preferably be done after the potting soil turns pale, and it must be watered thoroughly in one go.

In the hot summer, the leaves must be sprayed with water 2-3 times a day to increase air humidity and help the plant cool down. After gardenias form buds, they should not be watered too much, to avoid bud drop. In winter, it is better to keep watering on the dry side, to prevent root rot from standing water.

That is all for today's sharing.
