Sharing my family's pig farm breeding experience and insights
Let me talk about my family's pig farm

The farm was built in April this year, 16 expensive adult sows at 1600 each, and all the rest are sows raised from piglets, 120 sows in total. In November we sold the first batch of piglets, just a dozen or so. Those expensive sows have a very low farrowing rate, sigh. 400 yuan each. My dad says that by April next year, if all goes smoothly, we can recover all the costs, around 300,000 yuan in costs. According to what websites say, this usually takes over 1 million yuan in costs. But I just don't know how my dad pulled it off. You all have experience. If you calculate it the way my dad does, wouldn't it be a hundred percent profitable? If it were that easy to make money, everyone in the world would be raising pigs.

Hehe, keep it up

Hehe, someone replied. Actually, the reason I wanted to post something like this is just that what my dad says makes me feel like making money from pig farming is too easy, and I'm a bit doubtful, so I just wanted to see what everyone thinks.

Don't celebrate too soon.

What do I have to celebrate? Money isn't money until it's in your hands. I just wanted to talk to everyone and see if it's really this easy. But my dad has been a veterinarian for decades, and his partner graduated from an agricultural university, managed a large pig farm, and runs a pharmacy, so maybe they're just relatively more experienced at working together.
