How to identify this kind of fake meal:
Because this kind of fake meal has a complex and refined process, it is relatively hard to identify. Its granules are uniform in size with no dust, and its color is no different from the genuine product. Most infuriatingly, about half the surface of every granule is wrapped in white wheat bran, making people mistake it for soybean hull, almost to the point of passing as real. I have seen this kind of fake meal sold openly in broad daylight at feed dealers' shops in several cities, piled up from a few tons to several dozen tons. It is utterly brazen.
With this kind of fake meal, visual inspection does not work, and smelling it gives no odor either. To avoid people's attention to the large granules, the counterfeiters make the fake meal smaller than the real meal. Just grab a handful of this stuff, stretch out your palm flat and gently shake it to drive off the larger flaky real meal on top, then throw all the remaining smaller bits into your mouth and chew slowly: your whole mouth fills with sand and grit, crunching loudly.
