How to choose healthy and easy-to-raise piglets
The "eight looks" selection method for piglets (referring to the selection of first-generation crossbred piglets):
First, look at the eyes: they should be large, protruding, lively and spirited.
Second, look at the mouth: the mouth shape should be flat and round, the lips thin, and the upper and lower lips level.
Third, look at the ears: they should be both large and thin, and able to move up and down or extend backward.
Fourth, look at the forehead: the forehead should be flat, slightly wide, and free of wrinkles.
Fifth, look at the nose: the nostrils should be wide and large.
Sixth, look at the legs: the hind legs should be high and straight, and frequently lifted when eating.
Seventh, look at the body: the body should be long and large, with a straight, level back.
Eighth, look at the chest: the teats should be sparse, with their connecting line forming an oval shape, and the chest should be broad and well developed.
