What are the consequences of long-term excessive use of EM bacteria?
Long-term excessive use of EM bacteria can turn the water color of aquaculture ponds black. What is going on?
--------------------------------------
There are many reasons why aquaculture water turns black, and it is not necessarily caused by excessive use of EM bacteria. The cause needs to be carefully analyzed. Generally, a slight increase in the amount used will not cause the water quality to turn black. A friend of mine in Guangdong bought EM starter himself, then fermented it with brown sugar and clean water and splashed it into his own shrimp pond, basically once a week, using 1-2 kg per mu each time, and I never heard him mention the water turning black.
If we must analyze the reason why using too much EM bacteria causes the water to turn black, it may be because the amount used was really too large, and the color of the EM bacteria itself accumulated in the water over time and changed the water color.

It is the brown sugar that oxidized!
--------------------------------------
It is that you do not know how to use it. Reflect on yourself.

I do not really understand~~~~

Only after physical testing and analysis can a conclusion be drawn.

It is not that the water turned black! It is that your EM went bad. I often use EM with friends below and have never had the problem you mentioned. Of course, nothing is absolute. We should trust the quality of the product. Some manufacturers nowadays really make EM of poor quality.
