Question about digestible energy in feed formulas, asking everyone for advice

General News 0 views
Asking about a problem in a formula (digestible energy)

The "digestible energy" of corn shown in the figure is 3.40. Could you tell me how this and "metabolizable energy" are calculated?
The formulas I looked up in books are all labeled (corn: metabolizable energy (MJ, kg): 14.6). I just can't figure out this 3.40 here?
Also, the standard "digestible energy" in this formula is 3.5. I see that many formulas are labeled with "metabolizable energy". What is the difference between the two? Attachment:You need to log in to download or view attachments. No account? Register

According to international units, energy should be expressed in joules. 1 joule = 4.184 calories, so 1 kilocalorie = 4.184 kilojoules.
Just calculate it yourself and you will know.

I suggest the original poster read some basic books related to animal nutrition.

I don't understand. Is the unit of his corn 3.40 (MJ, kg) or something else??

Could the original poster give an example to explain it? I thank you here!

Corn: 14.6 MJ divided by 4.184 = 3.489 Mcal or 3.5 Mcal
