How to prevent and control Chinese cabbage diseases? Timely inspection and treatment is key
Pay attention to inspecting and treating Chinese cabbage diseases
At present, Chinese cabbage is about to enter the head-forming stage, and diseases such as downy mildew, soft rot, and anthracnose will also occur one after another. In order to increase the edible and commercial value of Chinese cabbage, farmers in all townships are urged to pay attention to inspection and treatment.
Control methods:
1. For plants seriously affected by soft rot, they should be pulled out promptly and taken out of the field for destruction, and at the same time lime should be scattered in the diseased planting holes for disinfection.
2. Chemical control:
To control downy mildew, spray with 64% oxadixyl-mancozeb wettable powder, 75% chlorothalonil wettable powder, 85% phosethyl-Al wettable powder at 500 times dilution, or 72% cymoxanil wettable powder at 600 times dilution.
To control soft rot, spray or drench the roots with 72% agricultural streptomycin or new streptomycin at 3000 times dilution.
To control anthracnose, spray with 50% carbendazim wettable powder at 500 times dilution, or 50% thiophanate-methyl wettable powder at 600 times dilution + 75% chlorothalonil wettable powder at 1000 times dilution.
Note that when controlling various diseases, the pesticide should be applied once every 7-10 days, for 2-3 consecutive applications.
