According to a recent survey by the county plant protection station in Laoting Town, Panggezhuang Township, Tingliuhe Town and other places, downy mildew of spring greenhouse melons has occurred widely, and in some greenhouses the occurrence is relatively severe. In ordinary greenhouses, the diseased plant rate is 20-30% and the diseased leaf rate is 10-25%; in severe cases, the diseased leaf rate is above 40%. As temperatures rise and humidity increases, there is a trend toward severe epidemic spread. Farmers everywhere are urged to promptly inspect and treat downy mildew of spring greenhouse melons.
Control methods:
1. Strengthen field management, apply more phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, spray foliar fertilizers, etc. to improve the disease resistance of the plants.
2. Improve the field microclimate by regulating the temperature and humidity inside the greenhouse to create ecological conditions unfavorable for pathogen invasion.
3. Chemical control: adopt a control method combining smoke agents, dust agents and sprays. Commonly used smoke agents include 20% chlorothalonil smoke agent and Yishuangjing smoke agent; dust agents include 5% chlorothalonil dust agent; sprays include Yinfuli suspension concentrate, 52.5% Yikuaijing water-dispersible granules, Kelu, etc. Spray once every 7-10 days, with continuous control 3-4 times.
