State regulation of pig prices: my thoughts
Thoughts on state regulation of pig prices
Everyone knows that since last year the state has adopted many measures to stimulate pork production, such as a subsidy of 50 yuan per breeding sow, but the actual effect has not been great. I think the reasons are these: 1. The price of pork is determined by supply and demand in the market, and has little to do with the cost of raising pigs. 2. Many measures are meaningless to small farmers; they will not raise many more pigs just because they get 50 yuan more. What matters is the profit and risk of raising pigs. 3. The procedure for allocating funds is cumbersome and the labor cost is very high. Therefore I think the state should adopt this kind of measure: subsidize slaughterhouses or pork retail outlets, and let them buy pigs at high prices and sell meat at low prices. This has many advantages. First, it can stabilize pig prices, protect pig farmers' interests, and stimulate them to raise more pigs, or encourage more people to raise pigs. Second, it can lower meat prices, stabilize the GPI, and let consumers benefit. Furthermore, it can also crack down on illegal private slaughtering, because if they cannot get subsidies they will naturally lose profit and be unable to continue. Do you all think what I say makes sense? Of course, exactly how to operate it still needs long-term consideration. I do not understand this aspect very well, and I hope experts and teachers will criticize and correct me.

Hehe, in the end this benefit still cannot return to the pig farmers, because buying pigs at a high price, what counts as a high price?
---------------------
Price controls will not work. Economically, problems are bound to appear sooner or later. But in the short term it can also be considered.
---------------------
It cannot be regulated. It would still be better if it were a bit more expensive.
---------------------
Subsidizing slaughterhouses, it will be embezzled!
