How to prevent loaches from escaping during loach farming
A "step" escape-prevention method can be used, and it works very well. That is, build another step along the inner side of the field ridge. It is 20cm wide and 15cm lower than the field ridge. When loaches dart onto the step, it is very difficult for them to dart up onto the field ridge again, thereby achieving the purpose of preventing escape.
An escape-prevention net can also be installed. Generally, the width of the escape-prevention net is 1.8—2 m. In order to stand the escape-prevention net upright and vertical (the escape-prevention net should be as vertical as possible and not close to the water bank, so as to avoid being bitten through by rats and other animals or squeezed by the waterproof bank), stakes should first be driven in. The distance between stakes is about 1 m—1.5 m. Dig a net trench 60—70 cm deep, bury the escape-prevention net in it, and then fill the net trench level. Use soil taken nearby from the mud pond, but do not dig pits; only take soil from the surface, so as to prepare for catching loaches in the future.
