Temperature for a snail rearing room

The temperature of a snail's overwintering room must be kept between 20 and 30°C day and night. If the temperature drops below 15°C or fluctuates suddenly, it will have adverse effects on the snails. Therefore, in winter the temperature must be controlled so that the snails can overwinter successfully. Here we introduce overwintering management measures for snails for your reference:
Before the air temperature drops to 15°C, strengthen nutrition and let them eat enough and eat well. When it is about to fall below 15°C, move the snails raised outdoors into indoor pools or boxes. The rearing soil can be thickened to more than 25 cm. Alternatively, after the snails form a membrane sealing the shell opening, place each snail with its shell opening facing down and arrange them closely in layers, with about 5 cm between layers, and cover the top layer of snails with another 10 cm of soil for high-density overwintering. The soil used for overwintering must have a low water content, not exceeding 10%, and normally no water or little water should be sprinkled. Earthworms and the like in the overwintering soil must be removed to prevent them from burrowing into the shell opening and causing the snails to die. A stove can also be used in the rearing room, with a sheet-metal chimney connected to the stove, the chimney running once around the rearing room and then leading outside, making a complete set of warming equipment; electric heaters, glass greenhouses, hothouses and other heating methods can also be used to maintain room temperature. According to actual conditions, adopt the heat-preservation measures with low cost and good effect. During the overwintering period, the room temperature of the rearing room should be controlled between 20 and 30°C, and not lower than 15°C. When heating the room, generally speaking, the upper layers are warmer and the lower layers are cooler, and it is warmer near the stove and cooler farther from it, with a temperature difference of 3 to 5°C. Therefore, the positions should be swapped from top to bottom and left to right at intervals. When snail eggs are hatching, the temperature is required to be around 26°C, so the hatching box can be placed on the upper layer or near the stove. Adult snails can be placed on the middle layer to facilitate mating and egg laying and speed up reproduction. Snails aged 1 to 4 months can be kept on the lower layer.
