How can the egg-laying rate of hens be increased? A few new methods to share
Experts from Singapore use the following method to increase the egg-laying rate: after the egg-laying rate of hens declines, stop supplying feed and drinking water, causing the hens to become restless from hunger and thirst; after 3 days, supply a small amount of drinking water for 1 hour each morning and afternoon; by the fifth day, supply 5 grams of feed, and thereafter increase it by 5 grams each day. During this period, turn off the lights in the chicken coop at night. After this treatment, the hens shed their old feathers and grow new ones, and after 20 days a second puberty appears, and the original egg-laying rate can be restored.
Some chicken farms in Japan have proved through practice that fresh celery is a good feed for chickens; after laying hens eat celery, the egg-laying rate can increase by 15-20%. The methods for feeding celery to chickens are as follows:
(1) Feed each laying hen celery 3 times a week, about 50 grams each time; the celery leaves are fed separately, and the celery stalks are chopped and added to the mixed feed.
(2) Boil 1 kg of celery with 1.7 kg of water for about 15 minutes, take the juice and let the laying hens drink it freely.
