What is the market price of leeches per jin?

Leeches are divided into clear-water leeches and alum-water leeches. Leeches processed with white alum absorb some of the alum into their bodies, which increases their weight. Therefore, under the same conditions, the price of alum-treated leeches can never match the price of clear-water ones. Let's take a look at the market price of leeches together below!
The market price of leeches
The market price of clear-water leeches is about 1200-1300 yuan, and the price of alum-water leeches is about 700-900 yuan.
What are clear-water leeches?
Wash the leeches clean with clear water, then thread them on wire, hang them up to dry directly in the sun, and once dried they can be stored for sale. This is what the medicinal market calls clear-water hung-dried leeches. Dried leeches processed this way fetch a high price and the processing method is simple, so most are processed this way.
What are alum-water leeches?
Gather the leeches in a container, sprinkle white alum powder evenly according to the ratio, preferably one layer of leeches and one layer of white alum, stir well and mix evenly. Generally speaking, alum is added at 20% of the leeches' body weight. Then seal them in the container for one day and stir, and after three days choose suitable weather to take them out and dry them in the sun. The market calls these alum-treated leeches.
Distinguishing clear-water leeches from alum-treated leeches
1. Visual inspection of the surface: clear-water leeches have a glossy reflection under light, while alum-treated leeches have no obvious gloss because they are coated with white alum, appearing much duller. The difference is quite obvious when the two are compared side by side.
2. Look at the individual shape: clear-water leeches are generally thick, curled and bow-shaped with a darker color, while alum-treated leeches are generally flat, sheet-like and plank-shaped.
3. Smell the odor: clear-water leeches generally have a strong fishy smell, and if the weather is bad during the drying process they also have a fishy stench, while alum-treated leeches do not, having the smell of white alum instead.
4. Taste the flavor: bend the leech in the middle and lick it with your tongue; this is the best way to tell them apart.
