Mealybugs can be said to be the natural enemy of succulents, and their ability to spread is also very strong. Basically, once one pot of succulents is affected, they can quickly harm all the succulents, so the prevention and treatment of mealybugs is relatively important. Below, I will introduce to everyone how to deal with mealybugs.

During the care process, if mealybugs are found on individual branches or leaves, you can gently brush them off with a brush, or directly cut off the leaves or branches, and then throw them away together to prevent them from spreading further.

Methods to prevent mealybugs:

1. Garlic

Mash two garlic cloves, then add clean water and soak them. Generally, after soaking for about one day, you can take the upper clear liquid and spray it on the areas where the pests are concentrated. Generally, spray once every three days or so, and spraying three times in a row can kill common pests such as mealybugs and red spider mites.

2. Soaking cigarette butts in water

After removing the outer paper from smoked cigarette butts, put them in water and soak for about one day. After filtering and taking the clear liquid, you can appropriately add a little soapy water and spray it on places where the pests are concentrated. Generally, spraying three to five times will show results.

3. Chili peppers

Add water to chili peppers and boil them. After filtering, you can put the liquid into a spray bottle and spray it. Before spraying, it needs to be diluted with water. This can prevent and control pests such as aphids, red spider mites, and mealybugs, and can also drive away ants, cutworms, and so on.
