I-Mei and Tian Gui join hands to overturn the new concept of food safety

Yesterday (the 6th), I-Mei signed a contract-farming agreement with the Tian Gui Project, pushing food safety control back to the source of production, with the Tian Gui Project supplying health-boosting red quinoa that is given nothing but water, not even organic fertilizer. The signing ceremony was held at I-Mei Foods, witnessed on site by seven university professors. Over the past month, I-Mei has acted repeatedly, buying up collapsed-market bananas and red dragon fruit, setting a model as a company with a conscience. This time, I-Mei and Tian Gui join hands to overturn the new concept of food safety.

I-Mei and Tian Gui joining hands stems from a story like this. At the beginning of this year, I-Mei received a letter (Red Quinoa Brings Back the Prodigal Son), saying that Tian Gui No. 4 elderly farmer Hong Baojin, 73 years old, had been widowed since she was 23, and had struggled for 50 years to raise her son, all without much success, as her son was mired in drinking and did not help in the fields. After this single mother joined the Tian Gui Project's organic cultivation of health-boosting red quinoa, she found her son again; he took up the hoe once more and helped his mother care for the red quinoa field, and the bond between mother and son returned. I-Mei was deeply moved, and after personal visits and verification confirming that the Tian Gui park's surrounding environment is free of pollution, that no chemical fertilizer had been used for six years, and that in the most recent three years not even organic fertilizer had been applied, with the crops given nothing but water to drink, ensuring a high standard of food safety for consumers, it signed the contract-farming agreement with the Tian Gui Project today.

Taiwan, China's agriculture, moving from the traditional farming methods of 1.0 to the friendly, non-toxic, organic farming methods of 2.0, sees I-Mei and Tian Gui joining hands as a new milestone of agriculture 3.0: applying not even organic fertilizer, giving the crops nothing but water to drink. I-Mei and Tian Gui join hands to overturn the new concept of food safety.
