Feed Formulas for Meat Dog Farming

Meat dogs have a fairly omnivorous diet, but the feed must be based mainly on animal-based feed, accounting for about 30%, including beef, mutton, poultry, birds, rodents, and fresh organs of various animals and fresh fish, etc. Plant-based feed is mainly various grains and vegetables; the grains include cornmeal, barley grits, soybean cake meal, sorghum meal, bran, etc. Let us take a look below at the feed formulas for meat dog farming!

It is best to add meat broth, that is, boil 500 grams of pork per dog per day into meat broth and feed it together with the meat, feeding 3 times a day while providing enough drinking water.

Feed Formula for Young Dogs

Preparation of Meat Dog Feed

The main purpose of preparing meat dog feed is to improve the palatability of the feed and increase its nutritional value. Preparation requires hygiene, preserving nutrients, being liked by dogs, easy digestion, and no waste, so as to give the best effect of the feed. Raw starch cannot be digested directly, so before feeding, the feed must be cooked, that is, boiled into a semi-liquid porridge paste.

1. Do not burn the feed or leave it undercooked.

2. Wash meat with cold water; do not rinse for too long, and do not cook the meat for too long either; it should not be broken up or mushy excessively. Meat broth should be fed together with starchy feed.

3. For grain ingredients, simply rinse away sand and impurities with clean water; there is no need to change the water multiple times. If soaking is needed, after soaking, pour the grain and water together into the pot and cook, so as to avoid nutrient loss.

4. For vegetables, wash first and then cut; radishes, tubers, etc. do not need to be peeled.

5. All feed should be prepared and fed fresh; it should not be left overnight, to prevent mold and spoilage.
