The 2014 Taiwan Lighting Show and LED Taiwan Manufacturing Expo will be held jointly from March 20 to 23 next year at the Nangang Exhibition Hall. According to the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, the merger of the two shows allows end applications and the manufacturing supply chain to be connected in one go, presenting the complete industry chain.

"2014 Taiwan Int'l Lighting Show (TAIWAN INT'L LIGHTING SHOW)" and "2014 LED Taiwan Manufacturing Expo (2014 LED Taiwan)" are organized by the Bureau of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, with the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, the Taiwan Lighting Fixture Export Association, the Taiwan Optoelectronic Semiconductor Industry Association and SEMI joining hands and working together for the first time.

The 2014 Taiwan Lighting Show and LED Taiwan Manufacturing Expo are held jointly, with exhibits ranging from component manufacturing, equipment and materials required for packaging, components, inspection, testing, heat dissipation and other product technologies and lighting fixtures, connecting end applications and the manufacturing supply chain and presenting the complete industry chain in one go.

The Taiwan External Trade Development Council pointed out that since registration opened, the "Taiwan International Lighting Show" has gained the support of nearly 200 exhibitors, including well-known major companies such as Delta Electronics, Edison Opto, Everlight Electronics and Nan Ya Photonics, showing that the show has won recognition and support from the industry and has become one of Asia's important professional lighting exhibitions.

The 2013 lighting show attracted a total of 1,184 foreign professional buyers to visit Taiwan. The Taiwan External Trade Development Council said that in addition to overseas promotion through its overseas offices, it will also send staff to various overseas professional lighting exhibitions for promotional activities.

The Taiwan External Trade Development Council stated that Taiwan has strong chip manufacturing capabilities. In 2013, Taiwan's LED chip production capacity ranked second in the world, accounting for 22.2% of the global total. Taiwan's LED supply chain, from epitaxy, dies and packaging to end applications, is complete, and most manufacturers possess core manufacturing knowledge.

LED Taiwan Manufacturing Expo is Taiwan's only influential professional LED manufacturing exhibition. During the exhibition, domestic and international manufacturing, R&D, engineering and procurement personnel will be invited to participate, and an LED industry VIP networking event will be held, with international heavyweight industry leaders and senior executives strongly invited to come to Taiwan to exchange information.
