Delta Electronics Shows Green Building to Visiting Chen Deming
Chen Deming Visits, Delta Electronics Shows Green Building

Chen Deming, president of the mainland's Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits, visited Delta Electronics yesterday and was received by founder and honorary chairman Bruce Cheng. Apart from "Seeing Taiwan," the exchanges between the two sides focused on Delta's green buildings and electric vehicles.
Chen Deming pointed out that Delta Electronics has done very well in the environmental protection and energy-saving industry, which is a global trend, and the mainland is also actively pursuing research and development, with each side leading in different technologies, making exchanges across the strait worthwhile. During the visit, Chen Deming was particularly interested in Delta Electronics' electric vehicle power systems and energy-saving elevators.
With an eye on business opportunities under the mainland's 12th Five-Year Plan, and the increasingly severe "haze" pollution caused by the mainland's rapid urbanization and industrialization in recent years, Delta Electronics' presentation yesterday focused on environmental protection and energy conservation, with a special introduction to Delta Electronics' development in the mainland region.
Bruce Cheng said that Delta Electronics now has as many as 12 green buildings worldwide, including its own factories and donated school buildings, and that its Shanghai R&D center also obtained LEED certification at the end of October. Energy-saving efficiency has risen from 20% to 30% in the early stages to the current 50%. Beyond saving energy, the environment is more comfortable and the lighting more ample.
Delta Electronics said that over the past year it has designed and completed a number of solutions for clients across the mainland, including the uninterruptible power supply system for the venues of the 12th National Games; as well as safe city and emergency command projects in Shandong, Shanxi, **, Heilongjiang, Zhejiang, Liaoning and other places, and traffic dispatch centers in Changchun, Qingdao and other places, all of which use Delta Electronics' monitoring technology, such as distributed display control systems and large-screen display systems.
