When growing succulents, apart from easy-mode regions like Yunnan and Shandong, the most enviable ones are the succulents in greenhouses. The succulents cared for in greenhouses really look stunningly beautiful! Not only is every pot plump and round, chubby and fleshy, but the colors are also brilliantly varied. Standing in a succulent greenhouse feels like being in a sea of flowers.

Surrounded by so many beautiful succulents, it is no wonder many succulent lovers cannot control themselves once they enter a greenhouse, and do not want to leave until they have spent every last coin in their wallets. The succulents grown in greenhouses number at least a thousand pots, or at most tens of thousands, and so many pots of succulents can all be grown to a beautiful state. Compared with the mere few pots in your own hands, how does such a big gap come about?

It cannot be denied that, apart from those experienced flower growers, the reason greenhouse succulents can grow into such a beautiful state is that the internal growing environment is very important. For succulents to develop a beautiful state, light, temperature difference and humidity are all indispensable. And for succulents grown inside a greenhouse, no matter the season, these factors are all easily satisfied, especially the temperature difference, which really has no equal anywhere else.

Next is light. Only when succulents receive sufficient ultraviolet rays can they color up faster. While the succulents in a greenhouse enjoy their "sunbath," the flower growers also often move the direction of the pots, turning the pots' direction about once every 10 days, so that the succulents receive balanced light. Only then can the succulents color evenly and not grow crooked.

Then there is the water given to the succulents. Everyone surely knows the principles of watering. But when greenhouse flower growers water succulents, they usually put the water in an uncovered bucket beforehand, leave it for two or three days, and then water the succulents. This is to let the water fully contact the air, allow the chlorine in the water to evaporate, and wait until the water temperature reaches the temperature inside the greenhouse before watering, so as not to affect the succulents' growth.

Next is repotting and changing the soil for succulents. Generally, to meet the succulents' normal growth needs and prevent the soil from breeding bacteria, succulents need their soil changed once a year. When greenhouse flower growers change the soil for succulents, they keep two-thirds of the old soil, then trim off the rotten old roots, and repot the succulents with loose soil.

Pests and diseases are an unavoidable problem for succulents, but using pesticides will more or less harm the succulents themselves, so flower growers make some harmless pesticides themselves, for example crushing garlic and soaking it in water, then spraying it on the places with pests.

For the plump, round succulents cared for in greenhouses, besides the growing environment, there are also many details in care that we need to pay attention to. Greenhouse succulents are always beautiful, so visit greenhouses often and you will gain a great deal!
