Cymbidium reblooming means the plant can flower a second time, but many gardeners fail to get their Cymbidium orchids to bloom because they have not grasped the plant's habits. Cymbidium orchids love sunlight, and in summer you need to shade the flowers to keep the leaves from being scorched by the sun. In the other seasons they can be grown in sunlight, and the flowers will bloom even better.

Cymbidium Orchid Care Tips

1. Maintain a suitable temperature

The growing temperature for Cymbidium orchids is between 15-25 degrees. In the north they can be kept indoors, and in winter the nighttime temperature can be kept at around 10 degrees Celsius. In summer, water 2-3 times a day. In winter, water once every 3-4 days, and the flowers will grow well.

2. Remember to replenish water for the flowers

Once the soil is slightly dry, you can water. If the soil becomes too dry for a short period, be sure to water thoroughly all at once. During normal watering, you need to spray the leaves promptly, which not only makes the air more humid but also prevents the leaves from turning yellow.

3. Fertilizer application tips

Cymbidium orchids need appropriate fertilizing during the growing season. Be careful not to apply fertilizer that is too concentrated; you can apply diluted fertilizer frequently. Apply fertilizer once before flowering, and pause fertilizing in summer and during the flowering period. Once the above conditions are met, reblooming will not be difficult.

If Cymbidium orchids are simply grown outdoors, reblooming is even easier. If gardeners cannot grow them outdoors, they can keep them in a well-ventilated spot with plenty of sunlight, and pay attention to fertilizing and watering regularly, and the flowers will bloom even more beautifully!
