Pothos leaves looking listless? Quickly cover it up

Pothos has trailing vines with aerial roots. The leaves are oval, thick and glossy, and among the crystal-clear dense foliage they also show irregular golden-yellow variegation, elegant and graceful. However, when plant lovers grow pothos, they often encounter pothos leaves looking "listless" - what is going on, and how should it be handled?
Actually, if pothos leaves show the "listless" problem, plant lovers do not need to worry - just cover it up and care for it that way for a while. So how exactly is it done?
When pothos leaves look "listless" and appear drooping and scorched, this generally happens in early spring after the Spring Festival, and is caused by cold damage during the winter. Pothos has poor cold tolerance; in winter, room temperature generally must stay above 8°C for it to survive the winter safely. If the cold-sensitive pothos is placed in a south-facing room and the whole pot is covered with a plastic bag, after about a week of care the pothos leaves can recover.
However, plant lovers should also note: after the Start of Spring, do not move the pothos outdoors right away, because at this time it is still the chilly early spring; move it outdoors for care only after Qingming. During this period, if the leaves are frozen or drooping while the vines are still green, water with a pothos-specific organic liquid fertilizer diluted 500 times with water, applying it once every 7 days, then carry out normal care, and leaves will still regrow from the vines.
In addition, after pothos cuttings are taken and survive, they often stay small for a long time and easily die. After the pothos cuttings have rooted and survived, plant lovers can, during cultivation, use loose soil; place it in partial shade, avoiding harsh sun exposure; apply a light fertilizer 1~2 times a month; keep it indoors for care, then water thoroughly, cover with a plastic bag to retain moisture, and the pothos will soon grow well.
Besides covering the pothos well with a plastic bag as described above, plant lovers should also pay attention to a few points when caring for pothos normally, to prevent problems with the pothos leaves:
1. Planting
For planting pothos seedlings, the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River region are suitable in May, while the north can do it in early summer. Use potting soil mixed with 1/3 sand as the potting medium. After watering, place it in a bright spot indoors.
2. Placement location
Summer and autumn are the periods of vigorous growth, when the creeping stems grow quickly; it is suitable both for placing under a indoor curtain and for placing at an indoor window or bright spot for cultivation. You can use a sand tray to let it creep and grow, or use a wooden stick or similar as a support to let it climb and grow upright, or place it beside a wall to let it spread horizontally along the wall, or plant it in a hanging pot to suspend and let it grow downward. But be careful to prevent harsh sun exposure.
3. Fertilizer and water management
During the growing period, pothos should be given a general-purpose organic liquid fertilizer as a top dressing 1~2 times a month; an appropriate amount of 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate gives better results. The potting soil should be kept on the moist side, avoiding dryness, and the frequency of misting the leaf surface should be increased to raise the ambient humidity.
