"10,000-ping park" oversold: Fair Trade Commission imposes fines

The Fair Trade Commission penalized three construction companies and one real estate agency, namely Ming Da Construction Company, Jia Shi Lin Construction Company and Jia Shan Lin Real Estate Agency, as well as Ren Pin Company, totaling NT$1.2 million, mainly for false construction project advertisements.
The Fair Trade Commission stated that Ming Da Construction Co., Ltd., in selling "Jiang Tan She," failed to provide a master table of each unit's share, failed to state before contracting the shared-area information for the first floor of Unit A, and required buyers to make up price differences at handover, and was fined NT$500,000.
In addition, Jia Shi Lin Construction Co., Ltd. and Jia Shan Lin Real Estate Agency Co., Ltd., in selling the "Jia Shan Lin Feng Yi" project, advertised the project as the "first row of the 10,000-ping park" and marked the so-called park on the location map as "Guangci Park."
The Fair Trade Commission found that "Guangci Park" actually refers to the entirety of the Guangci Bo'ai Park area, but the "Guangci Park" claimed by Jia Shan Lin Feng Yi is actually only the "Xinyi No. 413 Park" set up within the Guangci Bo'ai Park area, with an area of about 1.57 hectares, which after conversion is still less than 5,000 ping, far from the "10,000-ping park" advertised. Therefore, the Fair Trade Commission imposed a fine of NT$200,000 each on Jia Shi Lin Construction and Jia Shan Lin Real Estate Agency.
Ren Pin Development Enterprise Co., Ltd., in selling the "Shang An Ju" project, marked the balcony as indoor space in the furniture layout reference diagram for Unit A, making false and misleading representations about the content and use of the product, and was fined NT$300,000 by the Fair Trade Commission.
