Financial Support for the Cultural and Creative Industries: Four Banks Express Willingness

Tseng Ming-chung, chairman of the Financial Supervisory Commission, said yesterday at the Legislative Yuan that, regarding financial support for the cultural and creative industries, four banks - Cathay United Bank, E.SUN Bank, CTBC Bank and China Development Bank - currently show high willingness to cooperate.

The Financial Supervisory Commission yesterday went to the Legislative Yuan Finance Committee to deliver a special report on how to implement financial support for the cultural and creative industries while taking risk assessment into account in order to enhance the competitiveness of the cultural and creative industries.

Tseng Ming-chung said that the Financial Supervisory Commission had put forward the idea of financial support for creativity, and in fact the government-owned banks are all quite willing to cooperate.

In addition, he said, CTBC Bank, E.SUN Bank, Cathay United Bank and China Development Bank have also expressed willingness to cooperate.

Tseng Ming-chung mentioned that the bank currently lending the most to the creative industries is Cathay United Bank.
