Boosting Employment Before the Lunar New Year: Kaohsiung Export Processing Zone Holds Job Fair

The Kaohsiung branch of the Export Processing Zone Administration under the Ministry of Economic Affairs said yesterday that a job recruitment event will be held in the zone on the 15th, offering more than 147 job openings on site, covering engineers, production technicians and inspectors, among others.

The companies taking part in the recruitment include five firms: Walsin Technology (Kaohsiung branch), Shin Bao Electronics, Taiwan Exemplar Semiconductor, East China Technology and Chang Heng Technology; among them, Taiwan Exemplar Semiconductor Co., Ltd. is offering about 78 job openings.

In addition, the Kaohsiung Export Processing Zone has cooperated with the Employment Training and Placement Center of the Kaohsiung City Government Labor Bureau to set up a job-matching platform for the public to use in seeking workers.

Lu Yen-chiao, head of the Kaohsiung branch, pointed out that holding on-site recruitment events in the park at fixed locations and fixed times every month will help accelerate and increase the chances of successful matching.
