The story and legend of the purple rose
In distant ancient Northern Europe, Shang Luofan's fiancee Rose unfortunately died of illness, and Shang Luofan buried her in the purple crystal at the bottom of Moon Lake. A long time later, large patches of light purple flowers grew on the crystal, and people also called them roses. It is said that after Rose died, she feared her lover would be lonely, so her soul transformed into flowers to accompany her lover.
That was an ordinarily beautiful world. At the bottom of the lake, there was brilliant purple crystal, the beauty's never-aging face, the rhythmic lake water, and the melodious yet slightly sorrowful songs of the mermaid clan. The lake surface was covered with a layer of ice that had not melted for ten thousand years, snowflakes never stopped, and where the breeze passed, flakes flew in the air.
On the shore was an endless snow-covered forest, with thousand-year pine and fir trees tall, straight and green, and herds of elk weaving among the trees, while in the wind, spirits danced. On the black marble by the lake, there forever sat a handsome man in white clothes, motionless, with a deep and sorrowful gaze, intently looking at the silent lake surface, like an exquisite sculpture.
And the delicate light purple rose at the bottom of the lake was the guardian flower of eternal love. This romantic and poignant story was passed down all along, until one day, it reached Satan's ears.
Satan is the incarnation of evil, the lord of all wickedness who hates all beautiful things. He came to the human world from the underground world, determined to destroy all of this with his own hands, to destroy the flower that witnessed eternal love.
The light purple rose was finally pulled out from the crystal by Satan, and in the place where it had originally grown, a patch of colorless and transparent roses immediately grew.
Shang Luofan died protecting the purple rose. His blood, along the crystalline ice layer, mixed into the crystal at the bottom of the lake, dyeing many colorless flowers bright red. This is the origin of the red rose as the guardian flower of love.
And those flowers that were not dyed were taken away by Satan, becoming yellow to symbolize parting, black to symbolize pain, and white to symbolize death.
As for the purple rose, the guardian flower of eternal love, it was never seen again. And in the human world, eternal love was never found again either. No matter how dazzling the emotion, it will gradually be forgotten with the passage of time.
