Summer Sea PARTY makes a fresh appearance, "Fish Head Jun" debuts at Tainan Qigu Seafood Festival

The ancient capital's summer event relay race, in (2018) this year specially prepared the "Tainan Summer Sea PARTY" along with the promotional video "Tainan Bu Ni (Not Boring)", using the common local colloquial particle "ni" of Tainan to interpret the unique warmth of the south. The first wave "Qigu Seafood Festival" opened yesterday (the 4th), with Mayor Li Meng-yen attending together with Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan Coastal National Scenic Area Administration Director Hsu Chen-neng, Speaker Lai Mei-hui, Tourism and Travel Bureau Director Wang Shih-ssu, and Qigu District Chief Chuang Ming-hao, and they even brought in the new mascot "Fish Head Jun" to make an appearance and show support.

Mayor Li Meng-yen stated that the city government has integrated the summer events and launched the "Tainan Summer Sea PARTY" series of activities, starting with the "Qigu Seafood Festival", and further combined with the "Yi Jian Shuang Diao" (sand sculpture and salt sculpture) activity held by the Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan Coastal Scenic Area Administration, welcoming friends from all walks of life and citizens to join in the grand occasion together.

Tourism and Travel Bureau Director Wang Shih-ssu stated that "Fish Head Jun", designed with milkfish as the main subject, is the second mascot after "Cricket Commander Jun", and its mission is to let the world know Tainan. This time four major activities were planned: the "Tourism Chizui Garden and Clam Digging Experience", the "Seafood Market", "Gather a Group to Tour Qigu GO", and the "Qigu Seven Treasures Banquet". In addition to "Gather a Group to Tour Qigu GO" having sold out in a rush last week, in order to let more friends freely tour greater Qigu, "50 yuan coin snacks" and "Happy Independent Travel" were also planned, bringing together tourism, homestay, restaurant and recreational fishing raft operators, so that both budget travelers and families with children can roam freely.

Qigu District Chief Chuang Ming-hao stated that the specially selected local Seven Treasures (milkfish, mullet, tilapia, grouper, white shrimp, clam, oyster) are used to launch the "Qigu Seven Treasures Banquet", which will open 50 tables on August 4, celebrating Father's Day with a seafood feast, with online reservations opening at 9 a.m. on July 5 (each person limited to 1 table, registration website: https://goo.gl/bzbghH ), at a giveback price of 4,500 yuan per table, and everyone is asked to seize the opportunity.
