Memory module makers ADATA Technology and Silicon Power have simultaneously launched fast-charging power banks, competing for business opportunities in the mobile device accessories market.

ADATA said that after gaining an in-depth understanding of consumers' needs for power banks, it found that in addition to wanting charging functionality, consumers also hope to quickly complete power replenishment.

ADATA pointed out that the newly launched power bank product PV100 not only features a 4200 milliampere-hour (mAh) lithium battery, but also has a 2.1A high-capacity output fast-charging function, charging 2 times faster than the common 1A power banks on the market.

Silicon Power's newly launched power bank product Power P40 is also equipped with a 4400mAh lithium battery and features a 2.1A high output current.

ADATA and Silicon Power both stated that the newly launched power bank products also feature safety protection mechanisms such as overcharge protection, over-discharge protection, over-discharge current protection, short circuit protection, input power protection and overcurrent protection, and have passed multiple international safety certification tests.
