Taiwan system makers upgrade to embrace cloud opportunities

Taiwan's computer system makers have been upgrading their industry, and in recent years they have directly pursued orders from international-level social networking sites, leading Taiwan's related supply chain to embrace cloud opportunities.
After Taiwan's cloud-related manufacturers successively broke into international giants such as Facebook, Google, and Amazon, yesterday it was reported that the social networking site Twitter is also interested in coming to Taiwan to find partners, planning to join hands with Taiwanese manufacturers to build a data center, and intending to work with major Taiwanese firms such as Quanta, Wistron, Hon Hai, and Inventec to build a cloud data center of its own specifications.
Led by large system manufacturers, related component makers in the industry will become the biggest beneficiaries of this wave, including storage equipment maker Promise, server rail maker King Slide, the largest server heat dissipation maker Auras, and power supply makers Delta Electronics, Zippy, and AcBel, all of which will see significant growth in their operations this year.
In the cloud industry's hardware equipment, servers are the important lifeline for the operations of Internet-related businesses, mainly providing data storage and cloud services. Because major confidential matters of businesses are involved, the stability and durability of servers are extremely important.
Institutional investors said that with Twitter set to join cooperation with Taiwanese manufacturers, it means Taiwan's server industry has nearly captured orders from all first-tier international Internet-related businesses, which is of landmark significance for the industry.
Institutional investors estimate that with the cloud industry developing vigorously, it will bring considerable growth momentum to server-related manufacturers in the next few years. With the economic recovery and the XP replacement wave, the overall notebook market size this year is expected to stabilize and rebound, showing a flat or slightly growing trend, and the notebook (NB) related sector can be expected to show a trend of turning up from the bottom.
