Delta's electricity savings: 11.9 billion kWh saved in 4 years

Delta Group announced its latest products and solutions, operating sites, and green building energy-saving results, among which products and solutions saved a cumulative 11.9 billion kWh of electricity over 4 years, equivalent to reducing 6.38 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
Delta Group is a leading global provider of power management and thermal solutions, and released its latest energy-saving results at the "2014 Hannover Messe" in Germany. Delta's highly efficient energy-saving products and solutions saved a total of 11.9 billion kWh of electricity from 2010 to 2013, equivalent to reducing 6.38 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
In terms of energy savings at operating sites, electricity intensity (10,000 kWh of electricity per million in output value) fell by 40.4% in 2013 (with 2009 as the base year); in terms of green building energy savings, Delta currently has 11 certified green building factory offices and donated green buildings, and compared with the EUI (annual electricity consumption per square meter) baseline, the green building factory offices saved a total of 11.63 million kWh of electricity in 2013.
Delta Chairman Yancey Hai said that Delta continues to implement its business philosophy of "environmental protection, energy saving, love the Earth" in the company's operations and business promotion, and that over the past year or more, among nearly 100 successful cases worldwide, energy-saving-related cases could save customers an average of 20%-40% in energy.
Chang Tsai-hsing, general manager of Delta's Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, said that representative regional collaborations in 2013 included factory automation solutions provided for a Turkish electroplating production line, a British shipyard, an Italian biomass power plant, and the Dutch packaging industry; UPS energy-saving solutions for a Polish airport and Russian railways; communication network energy solutions for an African telecom company, solar inverters for a German green energy park, and the use of smart lighting to save electricity for a Spanish telecom company.
Chang Tsai-hsing said that Delta's regional strategy gives priority to developing system solutions, especially in fields such as industrial automation, energy management for critical applications, renewable energy, and LED energy-saving lighting. By providing energy-saving solutions and a complete service network, it builds long-term partnerships with distributors.
