Today I will show you a low-risk, low-difficulty method that can put holes in any container and turn any container into a flower pot.

That is, an electric drill / hand drill plus a glass drill bit

An electric drill needs to be plugged in, has high power and drills holes quickly, but it is not very convenient to carry around, so a hand drill is still recommended. Charge it once and you can carry it anywhere and run around the whole place with it. Usually, for things like screwing in screws or drilling a hole somewhere, you still have a chance to use it, and the price is fairly reasonable.

A glass drill bit costs about 1-3 yuan each, and many shops offer free shipping for five or six yuan. The drill bit will wear down (the more worn it is, the slower it drills), but one drill bit can still handle a few dozen pots without much problem. Generally, a 12mm drill bit is suitable; for small containers such as teacups, a 6mm drill bit can be used.

?For example, a bowl (bowls are still fairly hard and not easy to drill; using a nail to make a hole would probably be easier, though it may break more easily). Put something under the bottom of the bowl, such as cardboard, cloth or foam. Do not place it directly on the floor, hard against hard; during drilling, sometimes slight shaking will break it. Add some water at the drilling spot (to cool it down and prevent dust). When drilling, hold the drill bit at a 45° angle (going straight in at 90° will slip). First grind out a drill mark, and once it can stand steady, slowly press straight down. Very quickly, you will have a pot with a hole (this mainly depends on the container material; generally it is done in a few dozen seconds).?

?With a hand drill, bowls, salted vegetable jars, tea tins, teacups and glass containers are all no problem. (PS: For some fragile materials such as glass, do not press down too hard when drilling, as it is easy to break.) After drilling a few times, you will basically be a master-level hole driller.
