We use the water heater almost every day, especially in summer - without a shower you really can't stand it yourself. But have you noticed that compared with when you first moved into your new home, as the water heater gets used more and more, the water flow gets less and less and the water heats up more and more slowly? And that's not all - right after that, the water bill also keeps shooting up. It really makes no sense: the user experience gets worse, yet you still have to pay more. It's simply unbearable.

Actually the reason for all this is really simple: the "water heater" has gone too long without any care! You shower every day - have you ever thought about giving the water heater a bath? When a water heater goes too long without being cleaned, the dirt inside only goes in and never comes out, so naturally the water heater's performance gets worse! And a simple cleaning of the water heater is nothing challenging - we ordinary folks can do it ourselves!

When cleaning the water heater, the first step must be to cut off the power - don't gamble with your own life! After cutting off the power, start draining the water. This may take more than 1 hour, depending on how big your water heater's capacity is.

2. After draining the water, you can clean the inner tank. Connect a hose to the hot water outlet, then pour water in through it (you can add some cleaning agent). After filling it with water, let the water sit quietly inside for a while, then open the cold water outlet to drain out the dirty water. Repeat this several times until the water runs clear.

3. At this point we've finished washing it, and now we need to start venting the air. Close both the cold and hot water outlets, then turn the water heater back on. Once hot water starts flowing out, that means the water heater is full of water, and our job is done.
