(Taiwan Business News) Huang Chung-pin, a second-year junior high school student in the junior high division of Liuho High School in Pingzhen City, won a gold medal for his work "Electric Lifting Platform for Ladders" at the Malaysia Youth World Invention Exhibition. His mother, Hsieh Lo-na, has already applied to the Intellectual Property Office for a patent, and there may be opportunities for mass production in the future.

Huang Chung-pin has participated in county science exhibitions since sixth grade in elementary school and has won two silver medals. Now he has won gold at an international invention competition. Instructing teacher Shih Kun-tien said that Huang Chung-pin explained his work in fluent English and produced an actual model, and operating it with a remote control also earned extra points.

Huang Chung-pin said that he and his older brother Huang Chung-yi, who studies in the Information Technology Division of Yuda High School, noticed in daily life that elevators are often used when moving things, but elevators can only be fixed in one position and cannot move. The brothers came up with the idea of how to move freely, using equipment to simply assemble a lifting platform to replace traditional elevators or carrying machines.

Huang Chung-pin said that this invention involves looping the fixing buckle at the end of a rope over the upper end of a ladder to secure it, with the platform resting directly on an ordinary ladder. After placing goods on the platform, a remote control is used to control the motor to rotate, releasing the rope or rolling the rope up, so that the platform descends or rises along the ladder.
