(Taiwan Business Daily News) Since the Mr. Tsai Wan-lin Memorial Scholarship was established in 1980, this year, in addition to continuing to provide scholarships to outstanding students as in previous years, it has also taken on the role of a dream promoter, allowing young people who dare to dream to exert influence and drive the upward power of the group. Through cross-school joint scholarship recipients, more than a hundred young recipients jointly conceived and held the "The Power to Explore Dreams" series of events, launched in March at NCTU, NCKU, NCCU and NTU, inviting dreamers to dialogue with young people.

A few days ago, the series of events reached its climax on the NTU campus, inviting heavyweight superstar band Mayday members Monster and Masa, as well as Chen Yi-jen, director of the gold-winning "Cheers" MV, and Chou Yu-yang, the dedicated producer of their concerts, to share their music dreams with 400 university students on site.

On April 29, Mayday members Monster and Masa talked freely on site about their journey, encouraging university students to bravely pursue their own dreams, and shared the success formula: "To pursue a dream you need 100 points of luck, plus 100 points of personal effort; when you reach the best state you can imagine, you will be close to success." Monster and Masa said that in their hearts they have a standard for "good"; it is an uncompromising persistence, a value that belongs to oneself in one's heart, not something done to show anyone else. It is only by reaching one's own inner standard and making oneself recognize oneself that one can produce astonishingly good work. Lin Chao-ying, the person in charge of organizing the event and also a member of the "Mr. Tsai Wan-lin Memorial Scholarship Recipients Alumni Association" from NTU's Department of Finance, also said that even if it is harder, more tiring, and more frustrating, persisting unwaveringly in one's dream is still sweet.

This lecture received widespread response online, attracting the attention of students from colleges and universities nationwide. Audience members had to participate through the official website in activities centered on "dreams," and dream tickets were then given out by lottery. Every university student went all out, sharing their dream blueprints and ideas one after another through videos and text on the fan page, hoping their dreams could be seen. Huang Chao-chi, chief convener of the jointly organized "NTU College of Management Student Association," said that holding this dream lecture for passionate people is what I love, and it is also one of my dreams; now it has been seen by university campuses across Taiwan! Kung Chih-jung, secretary-general of the Cathay Charity Foundation, said that seeing the persistent attitude of this group of eighth-grade students and how they enjoy the process of pursuing their dreams, infusing such a dynamic atmosphere is a kind of rediscovery of happiness!
