New Taipei City Welfare Cloud Takes the Stage, Check All Subsidies at Once

(Taiwan Business News) New Taipei City is the first in the country to launch the "New Taipei City Welfare Subsidy Self-Check" service website. Simply through keyword searches or simple online Q&A, users can quickly list the welfare subsidy items, contents and contact channels that match their own conditions and needs.

Wu Chao-ming, chairman of the Research, Development and Evaluation Commission, who is in charge of promoting this "New Taipei City Welfare Cloud" project, stated that the welfare subsidy items provided by various agencies of the New Taipei City Government amount to more than 120 (excluding those from the central government). However, members of the public cannot, based on their own circumstances, find out all the subsidies they qualify for in one complete search.

The New Taipei City Government, in particular through cloud integration technology and artificial intelligence, is the first to launch the "New Taipei Welfare Subsidy Self-Check" calculation system. Through a simple question-and-answer format, the system will compare and identify qualifying welfare items from the welfare subsidy programs of the entire city government.

To make things convenient for the public, the "New Taipei City Welfare Subsidy Self-Check" has been specifically redesigned from the standpoint of applicants rather than that of administrative agencies, creating nine scenarios, including living difficulties, work problems, natural disasters, caregiving, childcare, medical care, housing, education, and specific welfare eligibility. Members of the public can select the corresponding scenario based on their own needs, answer the questions, and receive subsidy recommendations that match their qualifications.

However, the public should be reminded that in order to make it easier for users and to help filter out possible subsidy opportunities as quickly as possible, the website provides range-based options for the public to choose from (such as annual income of 100,000 to 150,000). The subsidy items compared and filtered out on the website still require members of the public to provide precise figures to the welfare subsidy unit before a final determination of the result can be made. In addition to the aforementioned "scenario query" function, citizens can also conduct "keyword searches" for specific subsidy items.
