Detailed Explanation of Key Points in Duck Confinement Management Techniques

Select Good Breeds
The quality of meat duck breeds directly affects the economic benefits of farmers, so excellent meat duck breeds must be selected for breeding.
Feeding
The feed formula for 1-2 weeks of age is: corn 50%, wheat bran 12%, oil cake 8%, beans (soybeans, peas) 10%, silkworm pupae 6%, fish meal 6%, rice bran 5%, auxin 0.5%, bone meal 2%, oxytetracycline residue 0.5%, plus multivitamins 20 grams and lysine 50 grams. Pellet diameter: 0.2-0.3 cm for ducks aged 1-2 weeks, 0.4-0.5 cm for ducks aged 3-6 weeks.
Sanitation and Epidemic Prevention
The duck pen should be rinsed daily, and disinfected once a month with lime water and bleaching powder alternately. The duck flock should be fed sulfonamide and oxytetracycline drugs mixed into the feed once every 10 days to prevent disease.
Cooling and Warming
In summer, 1 hour before the ducks return to the pen, rinse the ground with cool water to reduce the high temperature. In winter, plastic film can be used to enclose the duck pen, and straw can be spread inside the pen to raise the temperature within the pen.
