What are the prevention and control methods for duck viral hepatitis?

Duck viral hepatitis is an acute infectious disease of ducklings caused by duck hepatitis virus. Duck viral hepatitis often occurs in ducklings within 4 weeks of age, and ducklings from 5 to 15 days of age are most susceptible to infection. The earliest cases can occur in 3-day-old ducklings, and the younger the age, the higher the mortality rate. The mortality rate of ducklings within 1 week of age can reach more than 95%.
Prevention and control methods for duck viral hepatitis
1. Use attenuated duck viral hepatitis vaccine for immunization and prevention.
2. For affected ducks, anti-duck hepatitis serum or hyperimmune yolk antibody should be used for treatment as early as possible, injected subcutaneously or intramuscularly at 1 milliliter per duckling, with appropriate combination of antibacterial drugs to prevent secondary infection.
