FarEasTone Telecom and Far Eastern Memorial Hospital Join Forces to Create "Health+"
FarEasTone Telecom Allies with Far Eastern Memorial Hospital to Jointly Create "Health+"

First nationwide initiative combining hospitals, communities/pharmacies, and enterprises to build a convenient health protection network
(Taiwan Business News) Public health awareness is on the rise! FarEasTone has identified the demand for health management services, integrating cloud technology and operational service capabilities. With the medical expertise of Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, FarEasTone Telecom has launched the first nationwide "Health+" service combining hospitals, pharmacies, and enterprises, offering convenient measurement stations, NFC measurement devices, and a real-time record query and management platform. It covers telecare services, community health care, and self-health management needs in one network, creating an innovative health cloud service spanning points, lines, and surfaces, and building a comprehensive and convenient health protection network.
According to a survey by the Health Promotion Administration of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, among the top 10 causes of death in Taiwan, the mortality rate related to metabolic syndrome is as high as 35.7%, with hypertension, hyperglycemia, and hyperlipidemia being the main risk factors. Taiwan currently has approximately 1.72 million diabetes patients and about 4.8 million hypertension patients, with an even trend toward younger ages. Health management is no longer the exclusive domain of chronic disease patients or the elderly. How to prevent early and avoid the risk of the "three highs" is an important issue facing modern people.
FarEasTone Telecom President Li Bin pointed out that the newly launched "Health+" draws on Far Eastern Memorial Hospital's expertise in preventive medicine to plan health management services that meet public needs, as well as a real-time health management platform. It can not only assist medical institutions in providing telecare services, but the public can also seek health management consultations through cooperative pharmacies marked with the Health+ logo. This service also extends to enterprises, allowing employees to work without health-related worries. In the first phase of service promotion, it has partnered with Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, the Yueh Shih pharmacy chain, and 40 local medical units in Banqiao District, New Taipei City. It is expected to reach over 20,000 person-times of experience, aiming to bring the public better medical care and health management services.
"Health+" expands from the concept of telecare to cover the provision of health management services, emphasizing the importance of preventive medicine and fundamentally improving public health. The service model will be expanded nationwide in the future, incorporating more medical institutions, sports centers, health restaurants, and other health industries to expand the community footprint of the health protection network.
