The advantages of raising pigeons in greenhouse cultivation sheds

Using greenhouse cultivation sheds to raise meat pigeons is a new technique that promotes the rapid development of the meat pigeon farming industry. Its main advantages are shown in the following aspects:

1. Easy to build

They can be large or small, and can be built inside or outside the village, and when building a shed outside the village there is no need to acquire land, as agricultural greenhouse land can be used.

2. The rearing temperature is significantly higher

There is no need for specially installed heating facilities, and the measures for raising and lowering the temperature are simple and easy to carry out, with almost no increase in rearing costs. Even in cold winter, the temperature inside the shed can average around 20°C.

Meat pigeon breeders know that in winter, the market for meat pigeons is at its best. Yet when the temperature is below the suitable level, their fattening and egg-laying rates both drop noticeably. Keeping the pigeon house temperature under control is undoubtedly the best way to improve rearing efficiency.

3. Dryness and humidity are stable and easy to maintain

When raising meat pigeons in ordinary pigeon houses, there is a certain amount of humidity, and the production of pigeons on the shady side is relatively poorer than those in the sunny side. In plastic greenhouses, however, this drawback does not exist.

4. Sufficient light

In a plastic greenhouse, sunlight is filtered through the plastic film and brightens the entire greenhouse, making it simple and easy to maintain the light.

5. Good ventilation

In summer, as long as the plastic film on both sides of the shed is rolled up, a cool and ventilated effect can be achieved, thereby reducing the concentration of harmful gases and lowering the incidence and mortality rates of meat pigeons.
