(Taiwan Business Daily News) Following the warm reception of "Picking Flowers and Treading Grass - Fan Shu-ting, Chen Yueh-huan, Chen Yu-shan, Cheng Shu-chen Pressed Flower Joint Exhibition," Land Bank has enthusiastically invited teacher Liang Hui-min to hold the "Poetry Inherent in Heaven and Earth - Liang Hui-min Painting Exhibition" at the bank's "Hall Front Art and Culture Corridor" starting from May 7 of this year (2014).

Liang Hui-min was born in Yunlin, Taiwan, China in 1958. She graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at National Taiwan Normal University and devoted thirty years to education. She excels in oil painting and watercolor creation. After retiring in 2008, she further dedicated herself to deep immersion and exploration in watercolor painting research. She currently serves as Secretary-General of the Taiwan Watercolor Painting Association, Director of the Taipei City Western Painting Women Artists Association, Member of the Taiwan-Japan Art Exchange Association, Member of the Taiwan International Watercolor Association, and Member of the Taiwan Art Association. She has held more than 30 solo and joint exhibitions domestically and internationally, and in 2006 was awarded the Silver Prize in the watercolor category at the Taiwan Asian International Art Exhibition.

During her studies, under the enlightenment and encouragement of Liu Xiao-deng, Liang Hui-min developed an extremely strong interest in painting. She later studied watercolor painting under master Chen Yang-chun, roaming freely in the world of painting. She holds deep gratitude for the guidance and encouragement of both masters, and therefore after retirement devoted herself wholeheartedly to painting creation, building her dreams steadily and realizing her dream of freely wandering through art. Her paintings take nature as their subject matter. She learns from nature but by no means completely imitates nature; she goes further to create nature. In her paintings one can often see scenery beautiful as a fairyland, yet it is not something seen in the human world, but rather beautiful scenery shaped through years of observing nature, chewed over, ruminated upon, digested, and fermented.

Land Bank stated that in accordance with its mission of "pursuing sustainable development and moving toward becoming a high-quality financial institution," this solo exhibition will be held starting from May 7 of this year (2014) at the bank's headquarters at No. 46, Guanqian Road, Taipei City (free admission).
