Pet Adoption Party to kick off this weekend at the New Taipei City Animal Protection and Health Inspection Office

(Taiwan Business News) The New Taipei City Government Animal Protection and Health Inspection Office will hold the "2014 Love Pet Hope Day Pet Adoption Party" this weekend from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the New Taipei City Hall Civic Plaza.

The featured pet star of this event, "Xiaobai," is a stray cat rescued by the animal protection office in Xinzhuang this March. When "Xiaobai" was first brought in, its lower leg had an open fracture, but after surgery and careful medical treatment by the veterinarians at the animal protection office, the lower leg fracture has completely healed! At five months old, it has an appealing look and a cute personality, making "Xiaobai" highly sought after! Staff at the animal protection office and many members of the public have already expressed interest in adopting it.

Therefore, the animal protection office has designated "Xiaobai" as the featured pet star of this event. Members of the public who wish to adopt "Xiaobai" only need to be at least 20 years old and, from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. on May 17, bring their ID card to the Banqiao Civic Plaza - Pet Adoption Area to register for the draw. The lucky owner will be drawn that day, and the lucky member of the public will complete the adoption procedures for "Xiaobai" under the witness of the mayor, and will also receive a number of carefully prepared dowry items!

Adopting a pet at the event not only comes with a free rabies vaccine, microchip implantation, pet registration and subsidized spaying/neutering, but also an adoption dowry. Over the two days, in addition to providing free rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats, microchip implantation and registration, pet diagnosis and treatment, and behavior consultations and other related services, the fun and exciting novelty competitions are also not to be missed!

In addition, to tie in with this event, the organizers have held an online "Love Pet Hope Day Pet Joy Star Selection" activity. Those interested can visit the event website for reference.
