Detailed Guide to Cage Installation Methods for Rice Field Eel Farms

At present, many farmers use cages to farm rice field eels. Cage farming of rice field eels lowers farmers' costs, and the economic benefits of farming are also much higher than those of traditional cement pond farming of rice field eels. Below we briefly introduce the cage installation methods for rice field eel farms.
The material for making the cages is polyethylene knotless 36-mesh netting. The upper and lower wire ropes of the cage are both 3 mm in diameter. The netting is joined into a rectangular cage. The cage size is 3 m × 2 m, and a 6 cm wide brim extends around the top of the cage opening.
The cage should be placed in water more than 1.2 m deep, and the water level for farming rice field eels should be kept at around 40-60 cm.
Aquatic plants such as water hyacinth and alligator weed can be used.
