How to catch crayfish the fastest?

Crayfish fishing is different from fish fishing. The line, rod and bait all have their own unique features, and the choice of bait is especially important. Only good bait can attract the attention of nearby crayfish over a wide area and stay fresh for a long time without needing to be replaced. Crayfish fishing is no less fun than fish fishing, and it also has its techniques. Let's take a look together at how to catch crayfish the fastest!

Step 1: Prepare a slender bamboo pole 150 cm long, cut both ends neatly, and use white cotton thread for the line, as it is easiest to see; also bring a dip net, a bucket, and so on.

Step 2: For crayfish bait, pork liver is the best; in any case, as long as it is meat it will do, and frogs, earthworms, fatty meat, and chicken or duck intestines also work. It is very simple, just tie it directly onto the cotton thread.

Step 3: The best month for catching crayfish is May, at dawn and dusk, when crayfish are very active, feed most vigorously, and are easiest to catch. Choose a spot by the river among reeds, with plenty of aquatic plants and few people.

Step 4: Crayfish fishing is also physical work and requires great patience. Whether a crayfish takes the bait depends entirely on that line: if the line is moving slowly, it means the crayfish has grabbed the bait and is dragging it; if the line goes straight, it means the crayfish is already eating in delight. It is best to work with a friend, as one person cannot keep up.

Step 5: Crayfish are very cunning. When you pull the pole, they will drag the bait and back away, so you have to do it little by little, much like fish fishing: pull when they are not struggling, and let out some line when they pull back hard, then put the dip net into the water and scoop them up directly once they are about ready. Anyone who fishes knows how to do this.

Step 6: Crayfish are relatively stupid, and generally you can catch more than half a bucket in 2 hours. But never keep the crayfish alive in water in the bucket, as many will die, and dead crayfish cannot be eaten and must be thrown away.

Note: When catching crayfish, go with companions. Do not go to the river alone, and do not go into deep water areas; it is both dangerous and unlikely to yield any crayfish.
