Encouraging Rides on Hsinchu County Electric Buses, Stamp-Collecting Lottery

(Taiwan Business News) On November 30 last year, the Hsinchu County Government added the county's first electric bus route, "Express No. 7." To encourage the public to ride and use it, in addition to free rides for the first 6 months, it also held the "Express No. 7 Electric Bus Riding Stamp-Collecting Promotion." By having raffle tickets stamped with seal marks and collecting three different seal designs (seals come in 7 designs, Monday through Sunday), participants could join the raffle. Over the past 6 months, ridership has reached nearly 40,000 person-times, and total carbon reduction has reached 20,000 kg, fully demonstrating the public's strong support for energy saving and environmental protection. The county government held the second-stage raffle yesterday.
In this raffle, Hsinchu County Magistrate Chiu Ching-chun drew the lucky winners of 3 iPad minis and 150 EasyCards exclusive to Hsinchu County. The winning raffle ticket numbers will be announced on June 5 on the Hsinchu County HTS Express Bus website. Winners may bring their ticket stubs to the Hsinchu County Government Environmental Protection Bureau during working hours from June 6 to June 30 to claim their prizes. Failure to claim within this period will be deemed a forfeiture.
Hsinchu County Magistrate Chiu Ching-chun said that in order to ease traffic problems from Zhubei to the Science Park and the high-speed rail, and to provide county residents with fast and convenient public transportation, a total of 6 express bus routes have been planned. Among them, in November 102, an additional electric bus route with high efficiency and low pollution, "Express No. 7," was added, providing another environmentally friendly, energy-saving, and carbon-reducing mode of transportation. Relevant transportation information for each route, including timetables and operating routes, can all be checked on the Hsinchu County HTS Express Bus website. County residents and tourists are welcome to ride and use them more, supporting energy saving and carbon reduction and caring for the Earth through the actual action of using public transportation, and jointly building a beautiful home for sustainable development.
