What are the prevention and control methods for sacculina disease in crabs?

Symptoms of sacculina disease in crabs
Because of the high salt content in the water, sacculina parasites multiply in large numbers, their larvae spread, and the crabs become infected. The abdomen of the diseased crab looks slightly swollen, and when the abdominal flap is lifted, the parasitic milky-white or semi-transparent bodies can be seen. In infected male crabs, the abdominal flap is oval in shape, the claws are small, and there is little fuzz. Diseased crabs grow slowly, and in severe cases the crab meat has an off taste and is not fit to eat.
Prevention and control methods for sacculina disease in crabs
Add fresh, clean freshwater to the crab pond; remove the diseased crabs infected with sacculina and keep them in a separate pond. This can effectively suppress the spread of sacculina infection.
