Shuhe Ancient Town, the earliest settlement of the Naxi ancestors in the Lijiang Basin, an important market town on the Tea Horse Road that remains well preserved, a living specimen of the transition from agrarian civilization to commercial civilization; the layout of three rooms and one screen wall is the typical structural arrangement of Naxi dwellings, with flowers planted in small courtyards, trees in large courtyards, fragrant blossoms and fruits in all four seasons, and some even channel water into the courtyard, storing it into ponds, complemented by pavilions and terraces, creating one distinctive scene after another...

[Huayan Inn], a long-weathered old courtyard, with the surviving charm of the old Naxi people spanning more than a hundred years, falling into view: wooden corridors and pillars bearing traces of history; brightly colored, retro objects and furnishings, each telling ancient Naxi myths...

Having seen so many dazzling little succulents, let us change the flavor and take a stroll through a simple and fresh little garden - Huayan Inn!

This inn has no great ambitions; it was simply slowly tended into a garden, an old courtyard of a Naxi family.

Inside the courtyard, flowers bloom in profusion, and every step reveals a new scene. In the sunroom and the courtyard, green plants and succulents grown by Thirteenth Girl are everywhere. Murmuring water flows, the wind stirs the language of flowers, watch birds fly across the sky, listen to the host tell dusty stories and ancient folk customs, quietly feel the flow of time and seasons, and the beauty of it all.

Covering 2000 sq m, with an independent tea room, an oversized book room, shaded viewing tea seats, and a Naxi fire pit barbecue room, everything you could want is here. Stay a few days here and experience a true century-old Naxi residence.

Wooden corridors and winding stairs, cobblestone paving, a succulent greenhouse, flowers in all four seasons, abundant fruit fragrance, lawns, channel water, and a sunroom - everything you could want is here, accompanied by succulents and guarded by curly-haired dogs, a beautiful little world, writing its own little sweetness, turning daily life into poetry.

Before the lattice window, light and pleasing notes flow from the fingertips. From the amplifier, textured and beautiful music makes time and space seem to stand still, setting thoughts soaring...

In leisure time, just sit in the courtyard, look at the distant mountains, smell the fresh fragrance of flowers and fruits, fiddle with beloved succulents, and feel the passage of time and the turning of the seasons; the changes of nature are truly as beautiful as a painting.

In every season, whether facing the sunshine or in continuous rain, days with flowers and succulents are the best arrangement!

A succulent courtyard is a way for you to draw closer to poetry and distant places. Before, you crossed mountains and ridges to see the world's scenery; now, step into the courtyard, and there is the nature you want to be close to.

"Huayan" is now becoming more and more famous in Shuhe! Pouring the greatest passion into the things you love most,

this focus and dedication have made the courtyard she created more and more popular, with friends from near and far, and even many admirers, arriving one after another~

Every time she watches guests and succulent lovers absorbed in her garden, happy like children, she herself feels deeply gratified. She suddenly realized that the blue sky and that persistence that moved her the year before last had, it turned out, also been moving others all along~

This is probably a Weibo post from a foreign friend, right? It probably introduces Huayan or something like that. Whoever can understand it, translate it for us~

Here there is the romance of poetry and distant places, and the warmth and attachment of home and harbor. In Thirteenth Girl's words: "What we run is not an inn, but a way of life."

The fresh simplicity of gardening and the refinement of traditional Naxi pavilion eaves craftsmanship are perfectly fused together: small ornaments can be seen everywhere, flowers bloom everywhere, and succulents grow freely, making one want only to find a chair, set it down right there, sit and squint, and enjoy truly leisurely time~

This is a full screen of flower language photographed by a lodger!

These captioned pictures were all screenshotted by me, old uncle here, from Thirteenth Girl's Moments posts, ha, ha, haha~ Thirteenth's personality is clever with a touch of humor and an unspoken pride...

This small courtyard fully embodies slow living. Coming here is fate; shed all your fatigue and defenses, and Innkeeper Thirteenth will brew you a pot of hot tea, letting you slowly enjoy the leisurely time of the small courtyard.

Beautiful scenery can heal people, and succulents are beauty you can see without leaving home. If you spend your whole life busy making money, that is a particularly sad thing. Better to be a girl with taste: in your free time, learn a few crafts, read a few books, grow some succulents, watch some movies. The rest of life is long; only by doing what you love and spending your life on beautiful things can you avoid wasting your time.

Thirteenth has endless stories to tell. If it happens that you are also a person of feeling, and you also like petting dogs and strolling among succulents, you might as well come and encounter this small courtyard, water the flowers, listen to the wind, meet a beauty, bask in the sun, and listen to stories...
