ETF Trading Competition: Cathay Securities Corporation Takes First Place

(Taiwan Business News) To promote active ETF trading, the Taiwan Stock Exchange held an ETF trading competition for securities brokers. Over the course of the 4-month trading competition, Cathay Securities Corporation stood out among numerous competitors, and across the entire market's 1,047 securities business locations, including foreign brokerages, it captured the championship honor of the largest award, the "Trading Contribution Award," and also won second place in the Trading Proportion Award, making it arguably the biggest winner among all securities firms.

Coinciding with brisk trading in Taiwan stocks in the first quarter, electronics stocks rebounded rapidly from last year's low base, popularity returned, and a favorable ETF trading environment was created. Cathay Securities Corporation, guided by customer needs, provided professional index investment advice, built diversified trading strategy services, and through its biggest weapon, Cathay Securities Corporation's "high-speed trading platform," offered teams and customers the most advantageous ETF order placement tools during trading hours where every second counts.

The Taiwan Stock Exchange spared no effort in promoting ETF trading and, after the trading competition, successively held ETF promotion and educational training courses. In addition to explaining concepts such as product characteristics, product types, and points to note when investing, the courses introduced various ETF investment strategies in an accessible way, including trend investing, dollar-cost averaging, core and satellite investing, and relative trading between strong and weak assets.
