Cathay Insurance Repeatedly Recognized, Wins Stevie Asia-Pacific Award

(Taiwan Business News) On May 30, Cathay Insurance was honored in Seoul, South Korea with the Stevie Asia-Pacific Awards' "Service Company of the Year - Silver" and "Fastest-Growing Company of the Year - Silver," with Vice President Lin Ping-yao of Cathay Insurance attending on behalf of the company.

The Stevie Awards were established in 2002 and are the world's most prestigious business award competition, attracting entries from companies and organizations in more than 50 countries and regions worldwide each year, with winners selected by an international judging committee composed of more than 200 corporate executives. Winners include companies from different countries and different industries, with a total of 5 major categories, among which the Stevie Asia-Pacific Awards target 22 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

Facing the unfavorable factors of the international economic environment over the past two years and competition from peers, Lin Ping-yao explained that Cathay Insurance has continuously sought new market opportunities and pursued growth, achieving outstanding performance in both revenue and profitability. According to statistics from the Non-Life Insurance Association, Cathay Insurance had a growth rate of 9% last year and ranked second in market share, making it one of the companies with the most outstanding operating performance and fastest business growth among Taiwan's non-life insurance peers.

In addition, to provide more immediate customer service, the company launched the "Cathay Driving Guardian" APP to help drivers properly record accident scenes and protect their rights during subsequent claims negotiations. Utilizing its core function of damage prevention, in addition to driving safety diagnostics, it launched the industry's first "Zero Accident Research Institute" website, allowing the public to log in and take diagnostic tests to understand their own driving behavior and awareness of road hazards. It also fully promotes the "No Accidents Academy" campus safety activities, physically entering campuses to conduct professional inspections of playground equipment and teaching schoolchildren the correct concepts for using playground equipment. To date, more than 40 schools have been inspected, more than 30 events have been held, and over 7,000 schoolchildren have been reached.
