The guinea pig, also known as the cavy, the domestic guinea pig, the kui rat, or the Guinea pig, comes from the Andes Mountains of South America. Guinea pigs are very cute and are one of the most popular pet rodents. These cavies have a cheerful and lively personality and are very convenient and easy to keep. So how do you raise a guinea pig so it thrives?

First, you should prepare a spacious and comfortable cage for the guinea pig. The cage should not be made of wood; you should choose a sturdy and durable metal one. At the same time, the cage should be equipped with a climbing frame, so that the cavy can both rest comfortably and play happily.

Second, you need to prepare the necessary food bowl and water bowl for the guinea pig, and lay some clean scraps of cloth inside the cage, or wood shavings or paper scraps will also do. It should be noted that the cage the owner prepares should be as large as possible, so as to ensure that the guinea pig can get enough exercise and will not become mentally stressed, introverted, and timid because of a cramped environment.
