What issues should be noted when introducing bamboo rats for breeding?

At present, breeding stock of bamboo rats is relatively scarce, transporting breeding rats over long distances is not easy, and the price is not low. For farmers in poor mountainous areas who want to develop bamboo rat farming, the key is to solve the source of breeding rats. The mountainous areas of the south are rich in wild bamboo rats, so catching wild bamboo rats locally, or buying and domesticating wild bamboo rats at local markets, is a shortcut to making money with little investment.
When introducing bamboo rats for breeding, we should pay attention to the following issues:
1. Under normal circumstances, a good breeding bamboo rat's coat color has a glossy sheen, and the fur rarely falls out or breaks.
2. We should also look at the mental state of the breeding bamboo rat. Generally, use a bamboo stick or wooden pole to prod the bamboo rat and see how it walks. If it walks agilely, it means this bamboo rat is relatively good.
3. In terms of size, generally small and thin bamboo rats are very difficult to breed, and bamboo rats weighing less than one jin should be culled or are close to being culled.
4. We should also check the pedigree of the bamboo rat farm. If it is an inbred combination, do not use it.
5. Introduce breeding stock nearby and avoid long-distance transport. Long-distance transport of bamboo rats easily causes unnecessary casualties, so in order to avoid damage to farming profits, we should avoid long-distance transport before introducing breeding stock.
6. Choose overcast days and avoid high temperatures. Beginners at bamboo rat farming should try to avoid high-temperature weather when introducing breeding stock. Summer weather is hot, and bamboo rats are prone to heatstroke during transport.
7. The ratio of males to females. Generally, one male to two females or one male to three females forms a group, but the most common practice is two males to four females, or two males to six females, or three males to twelve females. In this introduction method, female rats can be from the same litter, but male rats cannot be from the same litter.
