World's first! Chunghwa Telecom obtains CSA STAR Lv2 cloud security certification, making cloud services more secure

(Taiwan Business News) From now on, using Chunghwa Telecom's cloud services will be safer and more secure! On the 6th, Chunghwa Telecom became the world's first telecom operator to obtain the STAR Level 2 cloud security silver-level certification from the international cybersecurity organization "Cloud Security Alliance (CSA)," which means that the information security of Chunghwa Telecom's hicloud cloud services has reached international standards. At the same time, Chunghwa Telecom also held a hicloud seminar on the 6th to explain its cloud virtual-physical integration solutions, so that enterprises can choose suitable cloud services to match their existing IT environments, without spending a lot of money to build information environments, while still enjoying the benefits brought by cloud services.

The Cloud Security Alliance's CSA STAR (Security, Trust & Assurance Registry) security certification is divided into three levels. Among them, the STAR Level 2 Certification covers multiple aspects including information management, operational processes, development goals, performance, risk and operational continuity, and the audit conditions are also quite rigorous. Currently, only 9 operators worldwide have passed it. Through the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Information and Communication Security Industry Promotion Program, and with the assistance of the Taiwan Cloud Security Alliance and BSI Taiwan, Chunghwa Telecom successfully became the world's first telecom operator to obtain this level of certification.
